about the art

Pieces of Art

She finds the process of design and craftsmanship enjoyable, particularly the transformation of materials into wearable pieces. It is important to her that the pieces are not only functional jewellery but also uniquely crafted works of art.

  • Heritage & Elegance

Her jewellery is inspired by a combination of her Japanese heritage and her appreciation for Western elements of design in precious metals and gemstones.

  • Tradition in Design

Growing up in Japan, the culture and her surroundings deeply influenced her. Nature in Japan, along with its architecture, traditional designs, and techniques, are all aspects she hopes to capture in her work.

  • Contemporary Influence

At the same time, her time in Canada has inspired her through contemporary artwork—fresh, unique, and sophisticated. This cross-cultural experience gives her pieces an influence from both traditional and contemporary styles.
